netTrekker, The Trusted Search Engine
for Schools, Selected as Codie Award Finalist for Third Straight
Year
First year to be honored in two separate categories
Cincinnati, OH - On January 19, 2005, The Software &
Information Industry Association (SIIA) formally announced that
netTrekker, the trusted search engine for schools, was
selected as a finalist in two categories for the 2005 Codie Awards
competition. In 2003, netTrekker received a Codie Award
as the Best Elementary Education Instructional Solution and was
a finalist in the Best Secondary Education Instructional Solution
category in 2004. This year, netTrekker is a finalist
for the first time in two separate categories: Best Web-Based Instructional
Solution and Best Elementary Education Instructional Solution:
Other Content Areas, which is a distinct accomplishment.
The Codie Awards
The Codie Awards, a national competition sponsored by the Software
& Information Industry Association (SIIA), is the only peer-recognition
awards program of its kind in this industry and provides a unique
opportunity for companies to vie for the praise of their competitors.
Ken Wasch, President of SIIA, said, “The 20th annual Codie
Awards continue the tradition of honoring the best of the software,
content and education technology industries. When one considers
the number of outstanding companies that competed this year, being
named a Codie Awards finalist is a significant achievement.”
