netTrekker Search Engine for Schools Earns
Double Codie Honors in 20th Annual Competition

Cincinnati, OH - The market leading search engine for schools, netTrekker, earned two Codie awards during the 20th annual awards presentation of the Software & Information Industry Association. netTrekker earned Best Web-Based Instructional Solution and Best Elementary Education Instructional Solution: Other Content Areas. This double recognition validates the decision by more than 6,000 elementary, middle and high schools to select netTrekker as their search engine of choice.

More than 3.7 million K-12 students in 47 states use netTrekker. netTrekker, provided by Thinkronize, Inc., delivers only the best educational resources from the Internet to every desktop, saving valuable time and making searches safe and powerfully productive.

netTrekker has experienced tremendous momentum in the education industry and has garnered 10 industry awards for excellence in the past four years, including a total of three Codie Awards.

"We want to thank our customers whose feedback and contributions help us to continuously improve netTrekker to better serve the education community," said Randy Wilhelm, CEO of Thinkronize, the developer of netTrekker. "We are extremely honored to receive both Codie awards for our work to enhance education with effective technology and resources that support educators and help children learn, which is our most important goal."

Based on this customer feedback, the company will introduce a revolutionary new product at the National Educational Computing Conference (NECC) in June. Customers from Cobb County, Memphis, Ysleta, Houston, Shelby County, St. Johns County, and many other school districts nationwide participated in formal focus groups and pilot programs during the design and testing phases of the new product. Their comments and feedback were instrumental in helping Thinkronize develop a new product to meet the changing needs of educators and students.

Over 800 companies submitted more than 1,000 nominations in this year’s competition - a record-breaker for the Codie Awards. First round judging was completed by a broad panel consisting of representatives from the industry trade press, mainstream technology writers and industry experts and analysts. Second round judging was based on votes from SIIA members. Member companies are allotted one vote per company in each Codie Award category. The winners were announced on May 25 during a black-tie dinner and ceremony at Universal Studios' Globe Theatre in Universal City, CA.
