Thinkronize Wins Distinguished
Achievement Award from Association of Educational Publishers
America's number-one educational search engine, netTrekker d.i.,
is again recognized as best online resource
Cincinnati, OH - netTrekker d.i., the safe, educational
search engine specifically designed to support differentiated instruction,
has been honored with a 2006 Distinguished Achievement Award from
the Association of Educational Publishers (AEP). Developed by Thinkronize,
Inc., netTrekker d.i. earned top honors in the "Best Educational
Website - Reference" category. This latest accolade marks the thirteenth
time in four years that Thinkronize has been recognized for enhancing
the education of youth through the netTrekker product
suite.
netTrekker d.i. provides teachers and students with fast
and easy access to more than 180,000 educator-selected, standards-based
online resources. The search engine goes a step further by assigning
each prescreened resource a readability measure based on Lexile®
ratings and eight other popular methods. In addition, an entire
section of netTrekker d.i. resources is filled with customized
ELL content to help teach English as a second language, addressing
a growing need in K-12 education today.
"netTrekker d.i. is an invaluable tool for teachers of
every grade level and content area! It's really a unique tool because
it puts a variety of quality online resources in one place, right
at a teacher's fingertips, in a matter of seconds," explained Jennifer
Laginess, an Instructional Technology Specialist from Michigan.
"netTrekker d.i. not only helps teachers focus on state
standards but makes integrating technology into the curriculum
easy and practical."
Because of its ability to generate relevant results and provide
children with safe searches, netTrekker d.i. has seen
rapid adoption in school districts nationwide. Nearly 8.3 million
students in 14,000 schools across the country are currently using
the search engine. The Pennsylvania Department of Education has
partnered with Thinkronize to provide access to netTrekker
d.i. for every student and educator across the state. Michigan
Virtual University, in conjunction with the Michigan Department
of Education, has also teamed with Thinkronize to provide netTrekker
d.i. access to educators statewide.
2006 is the third consecutive year in which the netTrekker
product suite has been honored by AEP. In 2005, Thinkronize won
the prestigious Golden Lamp Award in the Technology Category for
netTrekker classic. The Golden Lamp is the most prestigious
award within the field of educational publishing, with winners
being recognized as providing the most outstanding materials for
learning. In addition to encompassing content and design that transcends
the best in its category, Golden Lamp submissions are critiqued
on their fulfillment of their educational mission. Additionally,
netTrekker classic earned a Distinguished Achievement
Award from AEP in 2004.
AEP, founded in 1895, is a national nonprofit organization that represents,
supports, and promotes the publishers of supplemental educational resources,
key tools for reading and learning at school and at home. Thinkronize joins an
elite cadre of companies in the supplemental publishing field who have been
honored for excellence in their products. An AEP award, earned after thorough
analysis by a national panel of experts, confers upon the winner the right to
display the coveted Lamp of Learning logo, which tells consumers a product
has met the highest standard of excellence. For more information, visit
