LearnStar® Links to Educational Search Tool from Thinkronize®

Educators now able to find supplemental, standards-based resources in netTrekker d.i.® directly from SmartTRAXTM reports

June 25, 2007 - Dallas, TX - LearnStar, Inc. announces today its SmartTRAX standards-based, interactive assessment software will include direct links from its reporting utilities to netTrekker d.i.® for customers subscribing to the Thinkronize® service.  With SmartTRAX, teachers and administrators have the capability to immediately identify not only the accuracy rate students are answering questions for all grades and subjects, but a level of mastery as well based on the speed and consistency of answers.  The reports also contain specific reference to the standards or objectives addressed by the activity questions.  These references will link directly to netTrekker d.i. to identify available standards-based resources.

“Educators across the U.S. told us that one of the most important keys to learning is helping students understand why they missed a particular question,” said Christine Willig, president of Thinkronize. “This new solution will facilitate that process and then provide supporting resources to show students the right answer, which is very powerful!”

“We are very excited to provide this innovative resource to our customers,” said David Camp, president of LearnStar.  “The ability to immediately identify web-based resources for remediation or supplement based on performance indications from a SmartTRAX competition activity or quiz is extremely valuable for teachers.  Thinkronize is by far the industry leader for standards-based digital resources and we are very proud to collaborate with them to provide a solution that will positively impact student achievement nationwide.”

The two companies are able to offer this new tool without any additional costs to mutual customers as a result of the standards and alignment services provided by Academic Benchmarks both companies deploy in their systems.  “The standards and alignment services provided by Academic Benchmarks have proven to be one of the most important components embedded in our SmartTRAX release, enabling us to provide the standards-based feedback to our users as well as collaborate with complimentary solutions like netTrekker d.i. to enhance the value of both solutions,” added Camp.
