Steve Nordmark is an innovative leader in educational software development and research. He currently serves as Vice President of Product Development for Thinkronize, Inc.

After honing his project management skills as a Consulting Manager with Andersen Consulting, Nordmark dedicated his talents to the development and deployment of powerful learning tools for K-12 education. While receiving his Master's in Education, he served as project coordinator on two research projects studying the effective use of technology in education, and he presented research findings at the BellSouth TechKNOWLEDGEy '95 Conference in Atlanta, GA.

For the past 11 years, Nordmark has managed and led several educational software development projects, including desktop-based, client-server, and online solutions. He directs all areas of product development for Thinkronize's award-winning netTrekker suite of academic search products. Recently, Nordmark directed the development and deployment of a new version of netTrekker made available to the consumer market through online sales. In addition, he spearheaded the development and deployment of a read-aloud solution, providing text-to-speech supports for students and opening netTrekker to new sources of federal funding. Related to these differentiated instruction efforts, Nordmark served on a Software and Information Industry Association (SIIA) Panel, English Language Learners: Building Products, Assessments and Market Opportunities, at the May 2006 Ed Tech Industry Summit.

Prior to Thinkronize, Nordmark was instrumental in developing strategic alliances with print publishers, resulting in the rapid development and deployment of reading, language, and phonics software programs. As the Vice President of Research & Development at Failure Free Reading, he expanded product offerings to support supplementary educational services required by No Child Left Behind. In efforts to illustrate the impact of specific educational solutions, Nordmark analyzed, documented, and disseminated reading research from over 80 studies and more than 6300 students.

Nordmark serves on the Technical and Development Issues Group within the SIIA Education Division. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from the University of Illinois and a Master's degree in Education from Florida Tech. He lives in West Chester, Ohio with his wife and three children.
